Selling Your Property - Garden Make sure that your garden looks tidy - if you haven’t had time for gardening, then your buyers are going to think that your garden takes a lot of time and work to keep tidy. Sweep any dead leaves away regularly, mow the lawn and keep flower beds and pots looking tidy. Pots can be filled with colour all year, for instance with pansies in winter, not just during spring and summer. Any outhouses should be cleared out - particularly if they are staying, as buyers may well want to look in them. Any large children’s toys should be kept clean and put neatly. Try to ensure that your rubbish bins do not let your property down. These can be cleaned, along with any garden furniture and patios or decking. If you have a pond, make sure that it is safe for young children. Make sure that the view of your garden from inside does it justice. Do not obscure the view with nets and blinds - it can be a great selling point. More Selling Your Property topics below: |
