Selling Your Property - Presentations Most homes will need at least a little work done before they are put on the market. Try looking at your home through the eyes of a potential buyer. Does it look clean and tidy? Are there small repairs that need to be done - paint that needs touching up, wallpaper that needs repairing, carpets that need cleaning? If you were looking at buying your home, would you have to look past lots of clutter to see the best aspects of a room? A badly presented property can knock thousands of pounds off the price. It is better to spend a little money now to maximise the profit, than to lose thousands in a sale. If there is another similarly sized and priced property for sale near you which is presented better, then buyers will opt for the better presented property. Focusing on the presentation before you put your property on the market does not have to cost a lot of money and if done well, will be worth it in the long run.
